Its hard to believe but December is here and Christmas is coming - soon! This is a great time of year to celebrate the greatest gift ever given, the Gift of God's Son, Jesus Christ.
It is also a great time of year to build traditions and lay some spiritual "memorial stones". Let me encourage you to keep in mind three important things.
First - Be in control of the season - don't let the season control you. Slow down, enjoy your family, read to your children, and take time to drink in the wonder of this season.
Second - Be alert to those around you, especially nonbelievers. The world is looking for the truth - and you have it! This is a great time to invite family and friends to church. They are more open during this time of year than any other time. Don't miss the opportunities. Seize the moment for His glory.
Third - Take advantage of the opportunities of being with your church family. Every year at this time we have several special opportunities for us to be together. Sunday morning morning worship, and Christmas eve service are just two. A good way to get to know others is to reach out, showing true Christian hospitality. Invite a family or two to your home for an evening of fellowship. The early church shared their lives together in many ways. Should we do the same? Don't miss out on the opportunities God brings your way to building friendships and worship and Newborn King!

Hello everybody!
Tell me what you think of our brand new site! My son Jordan put it together, and for the first time ever, I will be Blogging. You'll have to be patient with me for I am not a proficient typer, but maybe this will force me to get better. My hope is to write something every other week.
I appreciate Jordan putting this together, the site looks really great.
In other news, we are continuing our sermon series "Christianity 101", which last weeks sermon was the difference between law and grace. I am really excited about this series because it takes us back to the foundation of our core beliefs as Christians. If you missed a sermon in the series, you can listen online.
I trust you all will have a great Thanksgiving, we have so much to be thankful for!
Pastor Louie
P.S.
By the way, if you get this before in the next couple days, I'll be playing downtown at the Cafe Classic Coffee house this Friday 7 - 9:30pm.
